From
our hearts to yours...
Welcome!
Thanks to you and the talented, caring people around us, we have
been able to realize a dream, and it is growing more and more every
day.
Our jewelry and related product designs are about abilities -- not
disabilities, advantages -- not disadvantages, and heroes -- not
victims. They touch the child-spirit in each of us. The opportunity
we have to work with the children we support is our daily inspiration
and reminder that nothing is impossible. You simply have to be committed
to wanting to do it ... and the rest will follow.
May the thoughts and smiling faces behind our products remind you
of your own inner child, where everything is possible.
Thank you for helping us build our dreams and the dreams of others.
From our hearts to yours...
Linda Brunini, President
The
Product
Two Hands, Inc.
was established in mid-1992 in Providence, Rhode Island. Our whimsical
product line features jewelry and gift items inspired by our collective
learning experiences with children in the organizations we support.
Our etched brass pieces are plated in precious metals such as gold
and palladium and manufactured in our Providence facility to the
highest U.S. standards of quality and environmental hygiene. The
brilliant colors are all individually hand-painted by talented people
with a love and a spirit for their work. Because of this, no two
products are exactly alike. Many of our pieces are packaged in attractive
keepsake gift boxes incorporating the artwork used in our product
line. Early in 1999 we added a new collection to our already existing
collections: It Takes a Town. Within this collection are
new classifications of product: tac pins, mini-bookmarks, mugs and
mouse pads in new collectible packaging.

The
Non-Profits We Support
"We make
a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give."
This quote by Norman MacEwan is the cornerstone of Two Hands'
philosophy. It is our mission statement. We contribute 1% of our
total sales (not profits) each year to local organizations supporting
children with disabilities, disadvantages, or serious illnesses.
However, the financial aspect represents only a part of our commitment.
We also contribute our time. Employees of Two Hands interact with
the children, either at their school or at our facility, during
our regular business hours. Two Hands does not believe in asking
for volunteers on personal time, as our mission also includes insuring
quality time with our families. Our lives are enriched by all of
this.
One of our beneficiaries is Meeting Street Center in East Providence,
Rhode Island, a nationally acclaimed non-profit organization working
with disabled children and their parents in a supportive, school-like
environment. An occasional participant and beneficiary is Community
Preparatory School in Providence, Rhode Island, a non-profit school
helping inner city and disadvantaged children get the education
and support they need to climb to new heights. We support only local
organizations so that we can interact easily and frequently with
the children. It's that hands-on interaction that makes all the
difference.
Our collective learning experiences with children are the foundation
of our creativity and design process. Self-esteem and independence
are fostered in them as they express their thoughts and feelings
through various art forms according to their abilities. Our goal
is to touch the lives of these children.

The
Kids
One of the children
we have been fortunate to work with is Allison, who has cerebral
palsy. Our "Happy Sun" pin and earring are based on an
original drawing by Allison ... a drawing she did with her feet!
Allison showed us there is always another way, and from that moment
on we have never been the same. Sometimes it takes a child to open
our eyes -- and our hearts. You can see Allison's original artwork
on the cover of our blue collection box.
